hi Graham,

Snowy Owls have been reported from Cape Sable Island, Baccaro, Fairmont
Antigonish, Pubnico, Eastern Passage and Lunenburg this winter (perhaps
others) but as Richard mentions, none reported in this area of the valley.

As you might be aware, a Snowy Owl has often been observed in recent years,
on the fields, dykes and ice flows near "the Guzzle" in Grand Pre. In case
you are unfamiliar with this area, at the north end of Grand Pre Road (the
main n/s road across the Grand Pre dykelands), turn right and follow the
road (if passable) straight out to the dykes.
