In White Point, this morning, it is a lovely but somewhat nippy sunny morning. There are a variety of birds checking out the feeders. There is a Golden Crowned Kinglet working the trees very thoroughly, and a Cardinal coming and going. The usuals are attending the feeder in the grapevine: Chickadees, Juncos, song and white throat sparrows, Blue Jays,. an occasional Starling and Grackle (thankfully not hordes and I pray these aren't scouts but fear they probably are) a couple juvenile red-winged blackbirds. Mourning doves are increasing in their numbers; last evening about dark there were 67 of them. I have a few American Goldfinches and a pine siskin or two from time to time. The Oriole seems to have moved on. Yellow Rumped warblers come through every couple days or so. Steve was in the woods the other day and said there were Robins back there but we aren't seeing them out here. I understand there is a fox back at White Point and he/she left tracks in some freshly layed down concrete. Look out bunnies! We were visited by one about 10 days ago just at dawn. It was feeding on bird food. Best regards Marg Millard
