Please feel free to forward this request to any duc= k hunters you may know.=0A=0AMany of you know me as a biologist at StFX; I = am currently doing some work with DNR on bird collisions with wires over th= e Canso Causeway. Rarely do we find an intact bird since scavengers (both b= ird and mammal) normally get there before us. So we have to identify the re= mains based on what is left of the plumage or bones.=0A=0AAlthough we have = a decent bone collection at StFX, we are missing some of the ducks, mostly = diving ducks. If anyone wants to contribute a specimen to us, that would be= wonderful. The list below is of all the ducks we need, not just the divers= . You can get in touch with me at rlauff@stfx.ca.
