I heard a few Snow = Buntings overhead but overall it was very quiet. As I was leaving the parking area I saw a Northern Shrike, my first of = the year, in hot pursuit of a White-winged Crossbill. The pursuer was = within half a metre of the intended victim. Nature is often very ugly!
