It certainly was a gorgeous day for a dog walk so 'Dash' & I ventured down along the Trans Canada Trail by the harbour, continuing up to Sullivan's Pond and along the boardwalk by Banook, Senobe and MicMac Canoe Clubs & finishing up back home by way of Prince Albert Rd.
It was VERY quiet on the Halifax Harbour but did see the Pied-billed Grebe was still present at Sullivan's Pond with lots of Mallards, several American Wigeons and an assortment of Gulls.
Really had a treat though as I was going along the pathway beside the playground by Banook Canoe Club. I saw a Black and white Warbler! I did have my binoculars so after several attempts of viewing it, as it flitted about, I was able to zoom it in clearly! Know it is common but it was the first one I had ever seen!

Sincerely,

Gayle MacLean
