We drove to New Minas Saturday and saw 7 Red-Tailed Hawks between Exit =
16 and 14 (Aylesford to Coldbrook), mostly in trees but one was beating =
its wings furiously to allow it to =E2=80=98hover=E2=80=99 for several =
seconds at about 30 feet concentrating intently on something in the =
ditch (oblivious to traffic) which it finally dove on. Do Red-Tailed =
Hawks migrate? I know we have them year round, but do we get the =
=E2=80=98northern=E2=80=99 ones while our local summer population goes =
further south? I saw a large mature Bald Eagle in a tree along Victoria =
Road North of Aylesford and just south of the 211 this afternoon.
