It was near the last house (blue = roof?) near the water. Charlie got a record shot. There were 10 Northern = Shoveler in the Antigonish sewage lagoon as well as 2 Black-headed = Gulls. There were several more of the latter at Antigonish Landing = wildlife management area. There were 9 Dunlin at the landing as well. = Also noted were 2 Bohemian Waxwings at Ballantynes Cove and 4 Pine = Grosbeak at Cape George.=20 The drive produced relatively low numbers of Bonaparte's Gulls and = Gannets in areas where in past there have been large numbers. We noted = nets set up to catch Atlantic silversides? in 4 locations: Jimtown, = Cribbons Wharf, Ballantynes Cove and Lakevale. The net at Lakevale is = below a sign that says HABITAT AREA- NO HUNTING OR TRAPPING!
