Hi all, Just had another weasel/mink sighting this morning, and didn't have to leave home to see it! Was having morning coffee and looking out the window, and it was around my dock on the lake. There has a been a large number of fresh water mussel shells around since moving here, but never saw the culprit. Watched it for maybe a minute, it seemed quite wary, for good reason no doubt. The Goldfinches, and Juncos are back at the feeders, as well as Brown Creeper in the yard to complement the resident White, and Red Breast Nuthatches and their young of the year. Also have up to 15 ducks in the yard vacuuming up below the feeders, mostly Blacks and some Mallards/hybrids. Had a glimpse at an unkown raptor, and 6 Canada Geese did a fly by. A few "shags" are also on th elake a lot these days. cheers, Gary Murray Tucker Lake Beaverbank NS
