 =3B =3B This seal cull appears to me to have little to do with kil=
ling seals or helping the cod fishery recover=3B but rather=2C =3Bfrom =
my cynical eye=2C more =3Blike an attempt to shore up Atlantic Canada C=
PC political support. =3B<BR>
 =3B<BR>
 =3B =3B I don't know if culling seals will help the cod fishery re=
cover=2C or not=2C and neither does DFO or anyone else for that matter. Kil=
ling a bunch of seals may provide some data =3Bproving =3Bseals eat=
a lot of cod =3Bor it may prove seals eat more cod predators than cod.=
We don't know.<BR>
 =3B<BR>
 =3B =3B In the end it will provide a few Atlantic Canada jobs =
=3B (a very good thing)=2C some =3Bvery expensive scientific data on wh=
at Gray seals eat or don't eat =3Band=2C most importantly to the Govern=
ment=2C some good publicity and maybe a =3Beven a few future votes for =
the CPC. =3B All the best.<BR>

sulphate=2C in attempt to cause a bloom of phytoplankton to both help wild=
salmon and absorb some of our massive amounts of atmospheric carbon dioxid=
