I walked home this evening via the footpath between the bottom of Coburg Road and the end of Waegwoltic Avenue, in south end Halifax. I was hoping to find some migrants in the tangle which borders the railway cut, but before I began pishing I realized that a Crow and several Blue Jays were calling excitedly. I decided to take a look in the tall trees alongside the house at the Coburg Road end. Sure enough, there was a Barred Owl, looking down calmly at me. It made my day! Cheers, Patricia L.
