I still have butterflies moving about in White Point! So far I have seen 3
Red Admirals, and a smallish (Cabbage butterfly size) gorgeous bright
yellow creature all edged in black, and one between the size of a large Red
Admiral and a large Monarch, all dark chocolate brown. It was moving very
quickly so only had a brief glance really. It was in full sun against the
white of my car. Sorry no identifying marks I could see at all, just solid
brown.
As I drove back to our place from the Post Office in Hunts Point the
roadside is alive with Juncos. Three Northern Flickers between here and
there as well as a couple Robins, many Blue Jays and sparrows various
everywhere. Eyes are peeled for a hummingbird but no sign yesterday.
