I walked Rainbow Haven beach and the dunes and marsh looking
for Ipswish sparrows for Zoe Crysler of Bird Studies Canada today.Several S=
avannah but no Ipswich. I did however find an adult Snowy Egret in the =
marsh behind (north of)the beach. First seen in flight over the marsh as se=
en from the woods beside the parking lot near the main gate at about 15:15 =
just after I hadarrived. Black legs and yellow feet clearly seen. I saw=
it again from the bridge near the gun club looking towards thesouth as I w=
as leaving at about 16:55. This time it was foraging along theshoreline wit=
h various ducks and gulls nearby. There were 4 gtr yellowlegs=2C 2 bla=
ckheaded gulls a few ringbilled andherring gulls in the ponds to the right =
(east) of the exit road heading northfrom the canteen/change room area. =
Also seen were 20-30 warbler sp in the spruce trees behind the main beach=
. Those that I was able to get a look at were all yellow-rumped whichare th=
e usuals here.CheersDennis Hippern (DHH)Cloe Harbour=20
