Hi:
28Sep12, 1100-1400:=20
Marshall Rd/Walker's Brook: 8 Mallards, 1 Black-capped Chickadee;=20
Melvern Square/Little Brook: Double-crested Cormorant; Blue Jay
hwy221, near Dodge Rd: Red-tailed Hawk, 4 Savannah Sparrows
Ruggles Rd: 2 Dark-eyed Juncos,=20
Victoriavale, Phinney's Pond: 200+ Canada Geese,  [3 Duck Decoys(a =
first)]=20
Port George: 1 Great Blue Heron, 40 Common Eiders, 17 Surf Scoters, 3 =
Yellow-rumped Warblers, 70 Herring Gulls
With the Canada Geese in Phinney's Pond we saw an American Coot: on =
numerous occasions we have seen A. Coot in Mexico, USA, Costa Rica, Cuba =
and the Bahamas: we considered Common Moorhen, then decided that the =
shape of this individual's head & bill colour/shape was that of an A. =
Coot, very good lighting, wind calm, optics included a Leica scope. =20
Should anyone find it convenient to have a look at the individual in =
Phinney's Pond, we would be grateful for your opinion.
Cheers, Barbara and Pat
