On the north side of the trail = between the 1st and 3rd bridges there were several small groups of 30 to = 40 Dowitchers (mostly short-billed), Least Sandpipers, Lesser and = Greater Yellowlegs, etc., feeding voraciously in the tidal pools. = Observed 6 Black-bellied Plovers and numerous Black Ducks. One Northern = Harrier showed up and attacked the Dowitchers looking for lunch = =E2=80=93 he was not successful on this occasion!
