As far as I can tell from the photographs, I saw two different birds today. (Both were very different from the one seen on August 20th, which can still be seen in my photos). The first bird today (2nd photo at link) was all by itself, just a bit S of East Point aka The Guzzle, N. Grand Pre. I saw its underwing when it flew. Regardless, the bill is quite small & the head pattern perfect. The second bird (1st photo at link) was with a flock of 97 Black-bellied Plovers just N of Horton Landing, on the only rocks exposed at this particular high tide. This bird's bill can be nicely compared to the BBPL in the photo. It kindly raised its wings all the way, twice, without flying, to show its uniform underwing. These are the 3rd & 4th birds I've seen at East Point--Horton Landing this year. To the best of my memory, and eBird, no others have been seen in NS to date. No doubt a few flocks will be seen soon. http://rickwhitman.smugmug.com/Nature/Birds-July-September-2012/24210793_TpztBd#!i=2055020037&k=hzdBLBH Rick Whitman
