Gerald,
   try Irish Moss (Chondrus crispus). The fresh stuff, picked from rocks in the lower intertidal zone. Many years ago, I spent nearly two years growing it commercially... Sea Lettuce (Ulva lactuca) and Enteromorpha are also edible, but somewhat tasteless and textureless.
