The water in the river is so low it means more walking=0Athan pad= dling but where I was was fine. The water is warm and very=0Aclear. I am no= t sure why the water gets clearer when it gets low=0Aand warm - must be a r= eason!=0AJust as the sun went down, Sun Dogs developed in the west=0Aat the= usual angle for sun dogs. These were quite bright - more so=0Athan normal.= Pretty things. Latter as the sun went down the sky took=0Aon many warm col= ors. The burnt orange was spectular as was the=0Agreenish blue of the sky. = One of late summers best.=0AFrom the time I got there until I left Night Ha= wks were flying=0Aby in a steady stream. It got too dark to see before I le= ft=A0=0Aso they might have still being flying. There was a few minutes when= I=A0=0Acouldn't see them but not many. I didn't try to make a count only= =0Atwo times once I counted 30 in the air that I could see - a latter group= =0AI counted 40. There was smaller numbers 6 - 10 most of the time.=0AThey = were flying from the North East to the South west. Some were fairly low=0Aa= nd seemed to be feed on insects - other were very high - I needed to look f= or them=A0=0Aand at every level in between.
