I was scanning a flock of 71 Black-bellied Plovers just a bit S of East Point today & one bird immediately caught my attention. It was an American Golden Plover. The bill is obviously small, the head pattern has a certain look to it and there are traces of black in the vent area. It also shows gold but I've seen some rather golden BBPL so I don't make much of that. http://rickwhitman.smugmug.com/Nature/Birds-July-September-2012/24210793_TpztBd#!i=2037333555&k=VLk4Zrz Rick Whitman
