Hi,

I went to East Point, Grand Pre just after high tide this morning, and
found Rick Whitman already counting shorebirds there. We estimated at least
5000 Semi. sandpipers, a few Sanderling, 2 very bright breeding plumaged
Ruddy Turnstones, a few White-rumps and Semi. Plovers. Had great looks at a
Peregrine making several stoops at lone birds in flight, but seemed to miss
every time and eventually headed back towards Boot Island empty-footed.

We went to Windsor Sewage Plant, where there was a single Gr.Yellowlegs and
a few Black ducks - that was it. More interesting there was a F.
White-tailed deer, with what appeared to be triplet fawns, and for a moment
it started to stare down my car in defence of the young, till they ran off.

Richard
