--f46d04478817acf6ec04c5e7cbd1 Content-Type: text/plain; charset=ISO-8859-1 I went with Bernard Forsythe to Methals Lake Bog on the South Mtn., mainly for him to look at White-fringed orchids. There were many in bloom, plus smaller numbers of other bog orchids. There were Juncos all along Butler Road going in, Palm and Y-R Warblers, a Swamp Sparrow and a singing Olive-sided Flycatcher. All morning we were surrounded by singing Hermit Thrushes. There was a solitary Solitary Sandpiper on the edge of the lake - presumably a migrant. The walk was very hot!
