Today there were the first huge flocks of Semipalmated Sandpipers off of East Point, N. Grand Pre. I'm sure 10,000 is the minimum right there. I went nowhere else. Also today the first White-rumped Sandpipers, I believe, arrived in very small numbers. I'm only reporting 2 altho I know there were more. I re-photographed YellowFlag XCY BlueBand again today, far better than on Friday. I'm waiting confirmation that XCY codes to one bird, but I think we can assume it's the same one regardless. All of above have been posted as photos: http://rickwhitman.smugmug.com/Nature/Birds-July-September-2012/24210793_TpztBd#!i=1985644196&k=3xQMLMM Rick Whitman
