This is a multipart message in MIME format. ------=_NextPart_000_0038_01CD6679.061F1A30 Content-Type: text/plain; charset="us-ascii" Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit To: All From: John Sollows Date: July 20/12 This morning, at Carleton School (Yarmouth county), I heard a different sort of a chittering sound on high, and three small, brown cigars with wings semi-circled on high over the schoolyard and took off. They WERE pretty high, so definite identification wasn't possible. The throat on one looked a little light, but I saw no breast band. I saw no signs of forked tails. So I suspect swifts Thirty- to forty-odd years ago, we saw both swifts and bank swallows in Lake Annis, not too far away from Carleton. Guess the swifts liked some of the old cottage chimneys, while the bank swallows had nests on the side of an old semi-excavated drumlin. ------=_NextPart_000_0038_01CD6679.061F1A30 Content-Type: text/html; charset="us-ascii" Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable <html xmlns:v=3D"urn:schemas-microsoft-com:vml" = xmlns:o=3D"urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" = xmlns:w=3D"urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:word" = xmlns:m=3D"http://schemas.microsoft.com/office/2004/12/omml" = xmlns=3D"http://www.w3.org/TR/REC-html40">
<meta = http-equiv=3DContent-Type content=3D"text/html; = charset=3Dus-ascii"><meta name=3DGenerator content=3D"Microsoft Word 14 = (filtered medium)">
<body lang=3DEN-CA link=3Dblue = vlink=3Dpurple>

To: = All

<p = class=3DMsoNormal>From: John Sollows
<p = class=3DMsoNormal>

Date: = July 20/12

<p = class=3DMsoNormal>This morning, at Carleton School (Yarmouth county), I = heard a different sort of a chittering sound on high, and three small, = brown cigars with wings semi-circled on high over the schoolyard and = took off.
