Halifax harbour was full of gannets this evening. I counted at least 20,
(but there were probably more) putting on a wonderful show of diving for
fish. I could see them everywhere between George's Island and the
Casino/dockyard, and they may well have been even further up the harbour
than that.

There was also a small flock of about 15 Semi-palmated Plovers resting on
the King's Wharf breakwater in Dartmouth Cove.
