When I got to the cov= e where I wanted to go it started to rain=0Aso I changed my mind. As I wait= ed for a break a pair of loons came into the cove.=A0=0AThey were close but= there was no chick.=0ALatter in the afternoon, the rain stopped so I went = again. This time the loons were in the cove again=0Aand there was a chick w= ith them. I don't know if it hatched during the day or if it was hiding=0At= he first time.=0AThe spot is a good place for loons and other anglers - LOL= =0AI paddled up a stillwater and a brood of mallards jumped of the bank and= escorted me along.=A0=0A7 young about 6 weeks old with their mother.
