Of note, the Lincoln sparrow was missing on Folly Mountain for the first time in all of the years that I've been visiting there. Also, no mourning warblers high up at the usual location. There were two males on territory low down which gave great views, one of which was on a raspberry cane and the best sighting I've had for this species. This was at the original location where we usually had them in years past. They had been absent for a few years due to logging and wood on the road in the area where usually found. They returned last year.
The eastern phoebe is on a nest in the usual location under the bridge by the Wentworth Park.
A northern flicker was sitting in a nest site hole high up on folly mountain and the bald eagle has one your half grown at the Amherst Point Bird Sanctuary at the usual location.
