When I went to stand on one of the rocks, three female common eiders with about six young scooted out from near it and headed out to more open water. By the time I got the camera out and on, all I was able to get were "documentary" shots. At the same spot, there were also two willets calling and hopping around on the rocks. The seaweed there was crawling with "sand fleas" and the willetts seemed to be going after them.
