--14dae934097bff0b7104c171c40e Content-Type: text/plain; charset=ISO-8859-1 Hi, Birds of note around here this afternoon - -- B.oriole in very bright breeding plumage flying, perching and whistling in the tall poplars around our pond, where there was a successful nest 2 years ago. -- An empid. flycatcher, in the same area as the suspected Willow fl. 3 days ago, but this one was silent, and when I photographed it, on enlarging the images in camera, it has a quite prominent eye ring, so I suspect it's a Least. -- Many Grackles carrying food, and several newly fledged young around our property. Also at least 2 Robins' nests. -- An adult M. Purple finch singing -- Yellow warblers, Common yellowthroats and Am. redstarts around the property -- At Miner's Marsh this evening, as well as the usual suspects, I was lucky enough to see and photograph a silent Sora swimming between 2 clumps of reeds. Also heard a Cardinal. I'll post the pictures eventually in the usual way.
