We'll meet at the main parking lot, Jerry Lawrence = Provincial Park. The walk is sponsored by the Five Bridges Heritage = Wilderness Trust, the folks whose hard work made most of the western = side of the Chebucto Peninsula into a wilderness reserve. I've tallied 17 species of potential nesting warblers so far this year = in the park, including Tennessee Warbler and Northern Waterthrush. The = Tennessee Warbler continues to sing brightly looking for a mate. It's = been singing for two weeks now. The Northern Waterthrush has gone silent = which means it has left or is nesting. Canada Warbler has its redoubt on = the northern shore of Lewis Lake which makes access near impossible = except by boat. The Canada Warbler can be heard singing from the St. = Margaret's Bay Trail opposite the north end of Lewis Lake. We usually finish by noon. Hans PS: Don't confuse this walk with the Bird Society Walk on Saturday. _________________________________________________________________________= ________________________________ Hans Toom Portuguese Cove, Nova Scotia, Canada http://www.hanstoom.com/ ------=_NextPart_000_008B_01CD400D.4AA740C0 Content-Type: text/html; charset="iso-8859-1" Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.0 Transitional//EN"> <HTML><HEAD> <META content=3D"text/html; charset=3Diso-8859-1" = http-equiv=3DContent-Type> <META name=3DGENERATOR content=3D"MSHTML 8.00.6001.19222"> <STYLE></STYLE> </HEAD> <BODY bgColor=3D#ffffff> <DIV><FONT size=3D2 face=3DArial>My annual warbler walk at Jerry = Lawrence Provincial=20 Park is on for <STRONG>Sunday, 7AM, June 3</STRONG>.
