Index of Subjects Thanks to Richard for his notification re the Little Blue Heron. Thanks also to James Churchill for giving Stella & I, an opportunity to view the species through James' "Super' scope. It's the first time I've seen this species in Kings Co. & probably only my second sighting of an adult in NS. The others have all been immatures. Also at the Marsh this afternoon was a bunch of Cedar Waxwings feeding happily on apple blossom petals. There were two Soras calling; spoke to Richard later who said he had heard two there also. Surely a Virginia will show up before too long. All my photos of the LBH were at a distance so this is the best I could do; http://www.flickr.com/photos/58321572@N00/?uploaded=3&magic_cookie=3217b6f1f4669bba64f426a9c237b50b Also included is a pic of a cooperative Red-wing & also a Mallard. The latter was headed to a very small dry bump which already had two males on it. Hard to imagine another could squeeze on it but he did. Amazing how congenial the males are once their partners are sitting on nests!! Angus
