We had a pair of Evening Grosbeaks to our feeders a day after the Migration Count Day. These are unusual visitors now although a number of years (8?) they were plentiful. They returned just once that day so I thought that was it but they were back today. Along with a pair of Rose-breasted Grosbeaks, they add colour to the backyard. I had about 45 species on Count Day, normal for my area in E. KIngs. Except for Ovenbirds, warblers were hard to find with only seven species. It was cold in the early hours then cool until 11 a.m. when the winds came up. Hearing anything after that was rather difficult. Only a few Leps: - Clouded Sulphur (several) - Mustard White (several) - Red Admiral (1) Angus
