--14dae9340e737ffa3204bfd987aa Content-Type: text/plain; charset=ISO-8859-1 Hi, This morning I did a Migration Day route along the North Mountain from Baxters Harbor to Harborville, including some Fundy shoreline -- Kings, CA-NS . Note the good variety of Warblers, including a nice male Wilson's and some early Redstarts, and the Sooty shearwater. May 12, 2012 7:01 AM - 12:31 PM Protocol: Traveling 73.0 kilometer(s) Comments: Route for Migration Day count 48 species Canada Goose 2 American Black Duck 1 Mallard 4 Common Eider 2 Surf Scoter 2 Black Scoter 17 Common Loon 1 Sooty Shearwater 1 - Flying steadily west, low over the Bay, at Huntington Point. I noted the typical shearwater size, shape and flight style, all dark but with light on the undersides of the wings. I have only ever seen shearwaters this far up the Bay once before, several years ago, when there were 3 at nearby Baxters Harbor after a storm.
