Index of Subjects That's a good point Dave. The droppings are "dry" but they aren't weathered. Also, they are obviously of different food types. Perhaps the bed is more recent or close to current. I didn't assume bears use the same bed nightly once they are fully out of hibernation, but actually know nothing about that. Another possibility: there was a winter clear cut not very far away. Perhaps the bear was forced to make a late-winter or early spring move & wasn't able to find the greatest location. Regardless, it's still present in the area. Rick.
