I was in Wolfville anyway so I checked out Wolfville "Harbour" at maximum low tide. There were 4 Greater Yellowlegs there feeding just the same as they do in late summer / fall. One bird in particular was in full breeding plumage with many dark bars on the flanks. http://rickwhitman.smugmug.com/Nature/Birds-April-June-2012/22243788_LGxpGV#!i=1823594727&k=XwwpRc8 Rick Whitman
