I've seen 6 day-flying bats this year, unreported to date. The first
was on a warm, sunny day in February at East Point, N. Grand Pre & was
captured by a Raven as I watched. The second was on March 31 at
Miner's Marsh, Kentville & was reported here by someone else as
captured by a Merlin about 30 minutes later.

The last four have all been along the Gaspereau River. The 3rd was on
a bright sunny morning April 9. The 4th was April 10, conceivably the
same bat. Today I saw my 5th & 6th day-flying bats of this year. The
first was on the ground, as photographed, and looked to be near death.
The other was acting very normally directly above the river,
presumably feeding, except that it was bright & sunny. Sad.
