This is a multi-part message in MIME format. --Boundary_(ID_po1GMLGop9h1KzQTQBCvtA) Content-type: text/plain; CHARSET=US-ASCII Content-transfer-encoding: 7BIT Content-disposition: inline On April 9th my sister Rita Viau noticed a squirrel transporting babys from her birdhouse to our sister Anita Pouliots birdhouse next door about 100 feet away. She's not sure if there were more babies, but she seen the squirrel repeat the procedure at least 3 times and was able to capture the last one with a camera. Anita's birdhouse is higher in a tree and not so close to the house, which may explain why the parent chose to move them. I uploaded 3 of Rita's photos here: http://bernieb.smugmug.com/Other/animals/799823_M86zxT#!i=1802335416&k=HTMZZMt Again on the topic of squirrels, here is a link to some notes pertaining to Records of Melanistic American Red Squirrels (Tamiasciurus dudsonicus) from Nova Scotia, published last year in The CANADIAN FIELD NATURALIST Volume 125,Number 2 in the APRIL-JUNE 2011 issue. https://docs.google.com/viewer?a=v&q=cache:i70QKSWknqUJ:journals.sfu.ca/cfn/index.php/cfn/article/download/1198/1191+records+of+melanstic+red&hl=en&gl=ca&pid=bl&srcid=ADGEESh5kDqkmBE1ZcA2ISk9BreenKPaTFWIK6dmE8_FLoi6P1z7-Hyur7UrmXyIb8R7st5bsKUkWNjYnJ9ebpnYgDIsTs6ljWcYpVi2Wn_wmuOdL5ed_38XtolrvRtdGxLtDrrCT0Um&sig=AHIEtbSMFkCmYzfDuJxicAAU9jvM8OL_-w Bernard Burke Dartmouth --Boundary_(ID_po1GMLGop9h1KzQTQBCvtA) Content-type: text/html; CHARSET=US-ASCII Content-transfer-encoding: quoted-printable Content-disposition: inline =3CDIV=3EOn April 9th my sister Rita Viau noticed=26nbsp=3Ba squirrel tr= ansporting babys from her birdhouse to our sister Anita Pouliots birdhou= se next door about 100 feet away=2E She=27s not sure if there were more = babies=2C but she seen the squirrel repeat the procedure at least 3 time= s and was able to capture the last one with a camera=2E Anita=27s birdho= use is higher in=26nbsp=3B a tree and not so close to the house=2C which= may explain why the parent chose to move them=2E I uploaded 3 of Rita=27= s photos here=3A=3C/DIV=3E=3CDIV=3E=26nbsp=3B=3C/DIV=3E=3CDIV=3E=26nbsp=3B= =26nbsp=3B=3Ca href=3D=22http=3A//bernieb=2Esmugmug=2Ecom/Other/animals/= 799823=5FM86zxT=23!i=3D1802335416=26amp=3Bk=3DHTMZZMt=22 target=3D1 =3Eh= ttp=3A//bernieb=2Esmugmug=2Ecom/Other/animals/799823=5FM86zxT=23!i=3D180= 2335416=26amp=3Bk=3DHTMZZMt=3C/A=3E=3C/DIV=3E=3CDIV=3E=26nbsp=3B=3C/DIV=3E= =3CDIV=3E=26nbsp=3B=3C/DIV=3E=3CDIV=3EAgain on the topic of squirrels=2C= here is a link to some notes=26nbsp=3Bpertaining=26nbsp=3B=26nbsp=3Bto=26= nbsp=3BRecords of Melanistic American Red Squirrels (Tamiasciurus dudson= icus) from Nova Scotia=2C published last year in The CANADIAN FIELD NATU= RALIST Volume 125=2CNumber 2 in the APRIL-JUNE 2011 issue=2E=3C/DIV=3E=3C= DIV=3E=26nbsp=3B=3C/DIV=3E=3CDIV=3E=3CA href=3D=22https=3A//docs=2Egoogl= e=2Ecom/viewer=3Fa=3Dv=26amp=3Bq=3Dcache=3Ai70QKSWknqUJ=3Ajournals=2Esfu= =2Eca/cfn/index=2Ephp/cfn/article/download/1198/1191+records+of+melansti= c+red=26amp=3Bhl=3Den=26amp=3Bgl=3Dca=26amp=3Bpid=3Dbl=26amp=3Bsrcid=3DA= DGEESh5kDqkmBE1ZcA2ISk9BreenKPaTFWIK6dmE8=5FFLoi6P1z7-Hyur7UrmXyIb8R7st5= bsKUkWNjYnJ9ebpnYgDIsTs6ljWcYpVi2Wn=5FwmuOdL5ed=5F38XtolrvRtdGxLtDrrCT0U= m=26amp=3Bsig=3DAHIEtbSMFkCmYzfDuJxicAAU9jvM8OL=5F-w=22=3Ehttps=3A//docs= =2Egoogle=2Ecom/viewer=3Fa=3Dv=26amp=3Bq=3Dcache=3Ai70QKSWknqUJ=3Ajourna= ls=2Esfu=2Eca/cfn/index=2Ephp/cfn/article/download/1198/1191+records+of+= melanstic+red=26amp=3Bhl=3Den=26amp=3Bgl=3Dca=26amp=3Bpid=3Dbl=26amp=3Bs= rcid=3DADGEESh5kDqkmBE1ZcA2ISk9BreenKPaTFWIK6dmE8=5FFLoi6P1z7-Hyur7UrmXy= Ib8R7st5bsKUkWNjYnJ9ebpnYgDIsTs6ljWcYpVi2Wn=5FwmuOdL5ed=5F38XtolrvRtdGxL= tDrrCT0Um=26amp=3Bsig=3DAHIEtbSMFkCmYzfDuJxicAAU9jvM8OL=5F-w=3C/A=3E=3C/= DIV=3E=3CDIV=3E=26nbsp=3B=3C/DIV=3E=3CDIV=3EBernard Burke=3C/DIV=3E=3CDI= V=3EDartmouth=3C/DIV=3E=3CDIV=3E=26nbsp=3B=3C/DIV=3E=3CDIV=3E=26nbsp=3B=3C= /DIV=3E --Boundary_(ID_po1GMLGop9h1KzQTQBCvtA)--
