A mass migration of historic proportions has arrived in=0AOntario and Quebe=
c in the last couple of days. The migration consists primarily=0Aof Red Adm=
irals, and numbers of more than 100 per minute have been documented=0Amovin=
g through some sites. This mass of butterflies will likely reach the=0AMari=
times today (perhaps they are already in western NB). If they don't arrive=
=0Atoday they will be here with the next warm weather system.=0A=0AIf you o=
bserve movements you are encouraged to submit your=0Aobservations to eButte=
rfly (ebutterfly.ca). Of particular interest is the time=0Aof your initial =
observation. eButterfly is trying to accurately document the=0Aleading edge=
of this migration. Also of interest is an estimate of the number=0Aof indi=
viduals moving through an area per hour, as well as the direction of the=0A=
movement.=0A=0AAs always, please also try to get a photo or specimen so=0Ao=
bservations can be included in the Maritimes Butterfly Atlas dataset.=0A=0A=
