--Apple-Mail-8--188427363 Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit Content-Type: text/plain; charset=US-ASCII; delsp=yes; format=flowed I vote for either raccoon (note spelling) or skunk, and both do their damage at night. On our lawn in Wolfville our holes are mostly shaped like inverted cones, and we have never seen or smelled a skunk here (which is surprising for the area) -- thus ours are almost certainly from raccoons. Their nightly visits are why I nearly always put my feeders away in a shed, and inside a big plastic bin, for the night.
