APRIL 9, 2012 - A robin was singing at our yard in Wolfville, my
first robin song of this Spring. Also a cardinal was singing in a
weird way I haven't heard before: its song consisted of about 4 of
the usual repeated slurred notes, but they were followed by a trill
of notes all on the same pitch, sort of like a slow chipping
sparrow. Since robins can make such a series of trilled notes, I
wonder if duetting between a cardinal and a robin (or some other
species?) has been recorded, claimed, or documented?? Or does my
description sound like a cardinal song that others have heard?

Cheers from Jim in Wolfville
