Lots of the usuals such as Gold Finches, Jays, Junco, Chickadees, Sparrows Etc. Yesterday we saw a beautiful Golden Eagle fly over the house and not long after that our first Great Blue Heron flew past on it's way to the small lake at the end of our road ( I presume). We have had more Robins this winter than ever before and we have never seen them in such huge numbers in the past. In Dec. we saw a flock of at least 300 Robins pass our yard and head for the woods behind our house. My husband tells me that the Harrier has returned, as we always have a pair in the area each year. This morning I was awakened by a huge chorus of bird singing , it was wonderful to hear them again. No peepers here yet although I have heard reports from not too far away.
