Good Points=2C Gail! Having the location=2C date=2C and observer's name cl=
ear in the e-mail is not only helpful to general readers or others in that =
area=2C but to editors for Nova Scotia Birds or North American Birds who ma=
y find the records useful.

Some also report to e-Bird=2C and I would urge each of these to be careful =
in naming your locations so that the nearest town or other community can be=
identified=2C especially for yard lists. Too often=2C they are simply cal=
led "Joe's Yard"=2C "Betty's feeders"=2C "123 Main St." (with no town name)=
=2C or even "My cottage"=2C etc.=2C making them quite useless to anyone but=
the observer and his or her friends=2C or to someone with the time to trac=
k down a map link for it and bring it up on the net. (Painfully slow for t=
hose of us with dial-up modems).

Could everyone make an effort to identify what location they are referring=
to=2C including the county in some instances as there is more than one loc=
ation with the place name. Some writers at excellent=2C with great directio=
ns. I find NatureNS very helpful to decide where we should head out to look=
 for birds.=20
Thanks
