Good food = for ducks,=0ABuffleheads are still around in pairs or small groups - 10 - 1= 2 in all. They have lots of fun chasing=0Aand splashing. Some of last years= males are sort of between young and adults.=0ALoon have left the area for = today anyway - usually I see a few but maybe they are looking=0Aover their = summer lake.=0AAll the Grebes haven't left yet. Between 10 - 12 horned and = 4 Red necked. One was starting=0Ato get breeding plumage. The neck was a ni= ce yellow reddish color. All the horned were still in=A0=0Awinter dress. I = haven't seen many Red Necked in summer plumage here - they are quite beauti= ful in BC,=0AKelp flies were some plentiful - clouds in spots but no sparro= ws feeding on them yet. The table=A0=0Ais set! Help yourself!=0AI walked th= rough a wooded area where all the trees were down and there was quite a few= flies - midges=0Aor whatever there. Interesting - I bore you about that an= other time.=0AHerring Gulls and crows were flying around looking for food. = They are fussy - no periwinkles for them.=0AThere was also a Great Black Ba= cked Gull also.
