Hi all,
=20
I seem to remember hearing or reading a warning once against using very =
fine-meshed synthetic bags as feeders, specifically the ones onions come =
in (?) because people found small birds were getting their toenails (!) =
snagged and then were unable to break the fibres to free themselves.
=20
Anyone else recall this? Pretty sure pantyhose and toenails would be a =
bad combination!

Cheers,
=20

Found that out and was able to desnag the bird. These socks I am looking =
to clean are the commercially produced ones for this purpose and I did =
watch very closely for a time. Even the woodpeckers long gnarly toes =
seem ok although I am not sure how much of a beating this sock will take =
if that woodpeckers keep wailing on it=20
