I'm in Halifax, at 6461 Vienna Street. Thanks Andy Dean ----- Original Message -----=20 From: Susann Myers=20 To: Ns-Rba@Yahoogroups.Com ; naturens@chebucto.ns.ca=20 Sent: Wednesday, February 15, 2012 6:17 PM Subject: [NatureNS] Orioles, Dickcissel etc. still in Halifax The Dickcissel continues to hang out with the flock of House = Sparrows in my back yard - last seen this afternoon. The House Sparrows = are showing more and more courtship behaviour. It will be interesting = to see how long the Dickcissel stays around this flirtatious crowd. A seventh Baltimore Oriole arrived on February 3, and all 7 are = still present and doing well despite the cold nights. Oriole #6, which = arrived in starving condition Jan. 30, was in good condition within a = week. As I saw this morning, his recovery has been supported by double = rations of mealworms. Because he's a very bright male, and was = desperate and aggressive when he first arrived, the other orioles seem = unwilling to enter a feeding cage with him, so he's eating the worms = that I'm providing for 2 orioles to share. The number of adult male Brown-headed Cowbirds in the yard rose to 3 = on February 4, but is back down to 2 since Saturday, Feb. 11. The Song Sparrows in the yard have been singing their full spring = breeding songs for over 2 weeks now. The Cowbirds are also "singing".=20 Cheers, Susann Myers ------=_NextPart_000_004E_01CCECE2.3C0275E0 Content-Type: text/html; charset="iso-8859-1" Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.0 Transitional//EN"> <HTML><HEAD> <META http-equiv=3DContent-Type content=3D"text/html; = charset=3Diso-8859-1"> <META content=3D"MSHTML 6.00.6000.17108" name=3DGENERATOR> <STYLE></STYLE> </HEAD> <BODY bgColor=3D#ffffff> <DIV><FONT face=3DArial size=3D2>Hi, Andy.</FONT></DIV> <DIV><FONT face=3DArial size=3D2></FONT> </DIV> <DIV><FONT face=3DArial size=3D2>I'm in Halifax, at 6461 Vienna = Street.</FONT></DIV> <DIV><FONT face=3DArial size=3D2></FONT> </DIV> <DIV><FONT face=3DArial size=3D2>Susann</FONT></DIV> <BLOCKQUOTE dir=3Dltr=20 style=3D"PADDING-RIGHT: 0px; PADDING-LEFT: 5px; MARGIN-LEFT: 5px; = BORDER-LEFT: #000000 2px solid; MARGIN-RIGHT: 0px"> <DIV style=3D"FONT: 10pt arial">----- Original Message ----- </DIV> <DIV=20 style=3D"BACKGROUND: #e4e4e4; FONT: 10pt arial; font-color: = black"><B>From:</B>=20 <A title=3Daadean@ns.sympatico.ca = href=3D"mailto:aadean@ns.sympatico.ca">andy=20 dean</A> </DIV> <DIV style=3D"FONT: 10pt arial"><B>To:</B> <A = title=3Dnaturens@chebucto.ns.ca=20 href=3D"mailto:naturens@chebucto.ns.ca">naturens@chebucto.ns.ca</A> = </DIV> <DIV style=3D"FONT: 10pt arial"><B>Sent:</B> Wednesday, February 15, = 2012 8:59=20 PM</DIV> <DIV style=3D"FONT: 10pt arial"><B>Subject:</B> Re: [NatureNS] = Orioles,=20 Dickcissel etc. still in Halifax</DIV> <DIV><BR></DIV> <DIV><FONT face=3DArial>Where are you suzann?</FONT></DIV> <DIV><FONT face=3DArial>Thanks</FONT></DIV> <DIV><FONT face=3DArial>Andy Dean</FONT></DIV> <BLOCKQUOTE dir=3Dltr=20 style=3D"PADDING-RIGHT: 0px; PADDING-LEFT: 5px; MARGIN-LEFT: 5px; = BORDER-LEFT: #000000 2px solid; MARGIN-RIGHT: 0px"> <DIV style=3D"FONT: 10pt arial">----- Original Message ----- </DIV> <DIV=20 style=3D"BACKGROUND: #e4e4e4; FONT: 10pt arial; font-color: = black"><B>From:</B>=20 <A title=3Dmyerss@eastlink.ca = href=3D"mailto:myerss@eastlink.ca">Susann=20 Myers</A> </DIV> <DIV style=3D"FONT: 10pt arial"><B>To:</B> <A = title=3Dns-rba@yahoogroups.com=20 href=3D"mailto:Ns-Rba@Yahoogroups.Com">Ns-Rba@Yahoogroups.Com</A> ; = <A=20 title=3Dnaturens@chebucto.ns.ca=20 href=3D"mailto:naturens@chebucto.ns.ca">naturens@chebucto.ns.ca</A> = </DIV> <DIV style=3D"FONT: 10pt arial"><B>Sent:</B> Wednesday, February 15, = 2012 6:17=20 PM</DIV> <DIV style=3D"FONT: 10pt arial"><B>Subject:</B> [NatureNS] Orioles, = Dickcissel=20 etc. still in Halifax</DIV> <DIV><BR></DIV> <DIV><FONT face=3DArial size=3D2>The Dickcissel continues to hang = out with the=20 flock of House Sparrows in my back yard - last seen this = afternoon. =20 The House Sparrows are showing more and more courtship = behaviour.
