From: John Sollows

Date: Feb. 4/11

For the past week or so, we have had a different junco here: a little
larger, a little paler, obvious white sides to the tail, and very obvious
white in the wings. Cannot quite call them bars, because the white is a
little too diffuse and broadly-distributed, and looks confined to the shafts
of some of the flight feathers. No picture yet: It's a bit of a challenge
to get one!

Could this be a white-winged junco? How often have they been noted in the
province?

This is, by the way, at our place on the Wyman Road, just south of Yarmouth.
