Hi all, Today there were eight drake and four hen common goldeneyes, the drakes all had extensive white backs and none of the hens had yellow bills. The mallard ducks numbered about thirty. There was one white winged gull flying about but I took it to be an immature iceland gull, black bill, and fine rounded head. Walking was tricky with the layer of thin ice on the road, walking on the dyke was easier as the grass was poking through and gave some traction. George Forsyth
