--Boundary_(ID_NBc2pcjInppzDVQnADuPrg) Content-type: text/plain; CHARSET=US-ASCII; delsp=yes; format=flowed Content-transfer-encoding: 7BIT DEC. 15, 2011 (cont.) - I counted about 40 house sparrows in a single flock at the corner of Main St. & Gaspereau Ave. -- I'll be counting birds in downtown Wolfville on Dec. 17, and I often have difficulty finding the town's house sparrows on our Count Day. They have done well in the past two or more summers, so that I hear the nesting birds all over town in the warm months, inside various buildings, in street lights and associated equipment, and under the Robie Tufts Nature Centre pavilion. In the poor fading light of late afternoon, I made a weak attempt at spotting the snowy owl that was at The Guzzle at ne. Grand Pre on Dec. 12 & 13, but to no avail. The only birds seen were flying unidentified ducks and gulls. I just learned that yesterday Jean Leung on west Long Island, North Grand Pre, saw a snowy owl flying southwest from her house (but was quite close to her when seen). Also I just learned that Brenda & Bill Thexton are still seeing their 2 Baltimore orioles in east Wolfville every day, but not necessarily together. Cheers from Jim in Wolfville. --Boundary_(ID_NBc2pcjInppzDVQnADuPrg) Content-type: text/html; CHARSET=US-ASCII Content-transfer-encoding: quoted-printable
<body style=3D"word-wrap: break-word; -webkit-nbsp-mode: space; = -webkit-line-break: after-white-space; ">DEC. 15, 2011 (cont.) = - <span class=3D"Apple-style-span" style=3D"font-size: 12px; ">I = counted about <span class=3D"Apple-style-span" style=3D"font-size: = 12px; ">40 house sparrows<span class=3D"Apple-style-span" = style=3D"font-size: 12px; "> in a single flock at the corner of Main St. = & Gaspereau Ave. -- I'll be counting birds in downtown Wolfville on = Dec. 17, and I often have difficulty finding the town's house sparrows = on our Count Day.
