Unmistakable, even in the fog and rain. Looks as if this bird, like cardinals and turkey vultures, is becoming commonplace in Nova Scotia, as boreal chickadees, Canada jays, and evening grosbeaks move out. Saw my first vulture down here back in the summer of '82 or '83, and my first cardinal in May, '92. Saw my first red-bellied woodpecker in town in March, '04. Wonder what role climate change is playing in all these comings and goings. --Boundary_(ID_hR+Hw/2wYqOdp/C8ZxcWrw) Content-type: text/html; CHARSET=US-ASCII Content-transfer-encoding: quoted-printable <html xmlns:v=3D"urn:schemas-microsoft-com:vml" = xmlns:o=3D"urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" = xmlns:w=3D"urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:word" = xmlns:m=3D"http://schemas.microsoft.com/office/2004/12/omml" = xmlns=3D"http://www.w3.org/TR/REC-html40">
<meta = http-equiv=3DContent-Type content=3D"text/html; = charset=3Dus-ascii"><meta name=3DGenerator content=3D"Microsoft Word 14 = (filtered medium)">
<body lang=3DEN-CA link=3Dblue = vlink=3Dpurple>

To: = All

<p = class=3DMsoNormal>From: John Sollows
<p = class=3DMsoNormal>

Date: = Dec. 1/11

<p = class=3DMsoNormal>Yup, one female showed up under our Japanese quince = bush, on the Wyman Road, south of Yarmouth, yesterday = morning.
