It didn't catch=0Aany more than my ol= d one! Zero for both but we were fishing not catching.=0AThere was a number= of midges still around the lake. They seems to be there whenever the water= =A0=0Ais open.=0A=A0Also a few Winter Caddis - species unknown. They are mo= stly nocturnal but there will be a few on=0Athe water on a still day. They = no doubt are favorite late fall food for bats but I'm not=0Asure when the b= ats go hibernating.=0AWE didn't see many birds. A lone eagle came over to s= ee if there were any ducks on the lake.=0AThe few that were soon hide in th= e weeds along the shore. The two Blacks soon took off but the=A0=0AMallards= stayed put. The Mallards are there year round so canoes don't worry them m= uch but eagles do.=0AThere was a good number of Mourning Doves about. They = were running on the snow in the woods - perhaps=0Athey were finding Caddis = Flies there. There seemed to be a lot of them along the road and on the pow= er=0Awires.
