Hi: delightful weather at the shore=3B +9C on the Honda thermometer=2C very=
 little wind. We were there about 1400=2C i.e.=2C about two hours after hig=
h tide.
Port George:=20
-8 adult=2C male Harlequin Ducks=3B 1 of the 8 was adult=2C 1st winter=3B t=
he 7 others adult=2C breeding.=20
-8=2C adult male Long-tailed Ducks
- approx 50 Common Eider=2C the light and relatively calm sea enhanced the =
opportunity of seeing that 2 were obviously adult=2C female in reddish=2C b=
rown=2C breeding plumage=3B the others were breeding males.
- 4 Common Loons=20
- 11 Surf Scoters=2C the majority were adults
- seals=2C their heads exposed=2C were obvious from the lighthouse to Cotta=
ge Cove
Margaretsville:
We went to the shore on the road that leads to the cottages between the roa=
d and the Lighthouse. I walked the shoreline from the road to the Lighthous=
e hoping to see Purple Sandpipers.
- 7 Red-necked Grebes=2C 7 or 8 Common Loons
-Barbara saw a male=2C Northern Cardinal at the cottages near the end of th=
e road leading to the shore.
On hwy 221W=2C 3 Red-tailed Hawks west of civic #227 on the way to the road=
 leading to Margaretsville.
Enormous flock(s) of E. Starlings at the abandoned farm=2C on 221W     "
