This morning, among about 1000 Canada Geese in the fields S of the Shore Road, Masstown, Colchester Co., there were 2 immature Snow Geese and 2 Cackling Geese (both apparently the expected Richardson's Geese). The Snows were probably two of the six that have been in the area for some weeks, and one of the Cackling Geese was similar to the one I found in North River earlier in the month. The two small geese were easy to pick out in flight, but exceptionally difficult to refind once on the ground among the Canadas.
